Before it goes on eBay, is anyone interested in making an offer on the following PowerBook? Contact me (email and other contact information are at http://netninja.com/about/).
Apple 1.67 GHz PowerBook G4 17" 100GB -- For Use as Media Center, Desktop, or Parts
This 17" PowerBook works great except for a handful of vertical colored lines that recently appeared on the LCD display. They're annoying, but don't prevent operation of the machine. Video output through the DVI and S-Video connectors are unaffected, so it works perfectly fine with an external monitor or hooked to the TV. This means it is great as a desktop computer replacement or hooked up to a TV as a media center. I suspect a new LCD panel and a little elbow grease will restore it to full life as a laptop, but I don't have the parts, time, or experience to try. The outer case, battery, and light-up keyboard are all in great condition. The inside case has a bit of minor wear around the arrow keys, but is otherwise great. Includes AC adapter, DVI-to-VGA adapter, and installed software.
