Remove the U3 Partition from the SanDisk Cruzer Micro

I recently picked up a Sandisk Cruzer Micro 2.0 GB USB keychain hard drive. It came with two partitions on it, one for data, and the other called "U3 Partition" that was read-only. Not only was the data on the partition read-only, the partition itself was immutable--you couldn't remove it, change it, resize it, or anything. When you plugged the USB stick into a Mac, you'd get two icons appear on the desktop: one for your data, and one for a Windows application residing on this special U3 partition. After extensive Google searching, I finally found a link to the utility that allows you to remove this partition and reclaim its space.

The utility to remove the partition is Windows-based (so you may have to get a friend to run it for you or a good emulator) and is available here:
